Work, Volunteer, Learn Work
Employment opportunities in the Kusan area are very limited. Due to the Status of Forces Agreement, to work on and off base, anyone seeking employment must be authorized by the Korean government for appropriate work VISA. There are additional SOFA restrictions for personnel desiring employment off the installation and opportunities are limited. Individuals who are interested in working on the military installation must coordinate with the Civilian Personnel Office, located on the second floor of building 755.
Volunteering
Be proactive! Volunteering is a great way to meet others at your new home in Kunsan and enhance your professional career. Often, volunteering is just what you need to get your foot in the door to a great job! Several organizations on base offer volunteer opportunities, including the American Red Cross, M&FRC, and more. Visit the M&FRC Volunteer Coordinator for more information.
