Housing cannot be secured at Kunsan until you arrive and check into the base. Housing assignments are subject to availability.

Unaccompanied Personnel (Dorms)

Work with your sponsor to provide your projected arrival date and DoD ID # for dorm room assignment prior to arrival. For more info, call the housing office 782-7108 or email us at 8CES.DM@us.af.mil

Unaccompanied Members

Members will be assigned a dorm room as soon as available. Members should make a reservation at Wolf Pack Lodge beginning on their arrival date.

Unaccompanied Join Spouse

Inbound members on unaccompanied Join Spouse orders should notify the Housing office as soon as possible. To the max-extent possible, couples will be assigned a suite-style dorm room with thier spouse. (Families on CSB, see “Accompanied” section below)

Pets

Pets are not authorized in unaccompanied housing.

Furnishings

The dorms are fully furnished  so the majority of your HHG will not be needed during your assignment. Review your Unaccompanied Baggage entitlements before packing.

Community Housing

Kunsan AB does not have on-base family housing, Command-Sponsored members will reside off-base.

Command-Sponsored (CSP) members must report to the Housing Office upon arrival. The Housing Office can assist families with contacting realtors and reviewing lease contracts. Failure to report upon arrival could result in a non-reimbursable lodging expense.

Pets

Pet policies for off-base housing will be dependant on individual landlord discretion.

Temporary Lodging Allowance (TLA)

TLA is authorized for inbound members awaiting dorm room assignment or those actively seeking off-base residence. Per the Financial Management Regulation (FMR), inbound members are authorized up to 60 days of TLA. Following your departure from Lodging, bring the following documents to the Housing Office for reimbursement:

  • Copy of PCS Orders (all pages, including amendments)
  • Paid lodging receipt
  • Non-availability letter (if applicable)

Outbound members are authorized up to 10 days of TLA. Members must bring lodging receipt and dorm non-availability letter to the Housing Office prior to departing.
